JUKA™ Organics FLAX ACTION™ is an innovative yet holistic and functional food approach to your pet's longevity and wellness. Traditionally, flax seed has been recognized as a source of essential fatty acids and fibre. Numerous scientific studies on the flas seed hulls have found them to contain a biologically active group of phytonutrients called "lignans" which may be more important to the long-term wellness of your pet than flax oil by itself.
FLAX ACTION is intended as a supplement for your dog's dietary needs and may provide the following benefits:
* Hormone balance for your spayed/neutered pets
* Effective in correcting estrogen-responsive urinary incontinence
* Beneficial for: Diabetes; Kidney disease; Heart disease; Prostate health; Atherosclerosis; Maintaining bone health; Bladder control; Diabetes control; Bowel health; Detoxification
*Anti-inflammatory, Antioxidant, Anti-Tumor, Anti-Viral, Anti-bacterial, Anti-fungal
Two types of lignans exist. Those found in plants and those found in animals and humans or "mammalian lignans:. When the plant lignan secoisolariciresinol diglycoside (SDG) in flax hulls is ingested, it is converted by the colonic bacteria to the mammalian lignans, enterodiol (ED) and enterolactone (EL). These phytoestrogens have significant estrogen agonists/antagonists effects in animals and humans. By modulating the estrogen receptors on cells these mammalian lignans can stabalize the natural hormonal balance in spayed or neutered pets and may reduce the incidence of certain hormonally-related cancers. Lignans are recognized as well for their antioxidant properties which can contribute to your pet's logevity. Flax lignans contain 800 times more antioxidant properties than broccoli.
