"I e-mailed a request for a donation of a small size Canine Cooler for a fundraising raffle for the 2000 AKC National Agility Championship. Plus I praised the Canine Cooler...I purchased one at an agility trial a couple of weekends ago and used it this past weekend in some pretty nasty heat at an agility trial. I have a PBGV that wilts in the heat....she stayed cool all weekend and was flying around the agility ring. I will admit I was hesitant to spend $50 on the product, wasn’t sure if it would work but after several warm shows in a row with speed and enthusiasm disappearing as the temperature rose....I decided that the cooler could pay for itself if it allowed her to qualify twice....must say it was the best investment I have ever made! "I wanted to share my experience with the Canine Cooler. Abby is a 10 year Brittany with a very thick coat. Abby also has mild hip dysplasia. I don't like her laying on the hard floor with her hip problems. She slept on the floor because she would get so hot. This was the reason I bought the Canine Cooler. Abby loves your Canine Cooler. Even in the winter she still get warm because of her thick coat. Abby sleeps on the Canine Cooler bed year round, even during the cold Illinois winters. In the summer she sleeps no where else. Abby is a submissive dog, but she loves this bed so much that she will race to the bed to make sure other dogs won't get it. I love the Canine Cooler because it is portable. I take it with me when visiting relatives who have no air conditioning. I also put it on my regular bed so that she can sleep in comfort at night."

"The Canine Cooler bed is the only bed I could ever get my dogs to use. They have always searched for the coolest spot in the house, and that's where they would end up making their 'bed'. The only problem was that it was usually on a cold tile or wood surface, and after a while of lying on a surface like that, they would develop calluses. Also, it seems like it just couldn't be as good for the joints and all to lie on a hard surface as it would to lie on a soft, water bed. So, I have just placed the beds in their favorite lying places and they use them. In fact, they've grown so used to lying on them that if I ever have to move the beds for any reason, they lie on them wherever I end up putting them now. For me, the beds are low maintenance and easy to clean. The medium size modules make it easy to travel with, and if you put two side by side, it's large enough for 1 or 2 dogs. I'm very happy with the beds. They were something I'd been looking for a long time...something soft for my dogs to lie on, which kept them cool at the same time. Thanks!" -Jill Sumner

"It's odd perhaps, but my golden retriever, Blue Sky, prefers her crate with the Canine Cooler to almost any other surface for napping or sleeping. (The only exception is my bed.)I had recently switched crates (she has two) and to make it easier to carry, I removed the Cooler. After this chore I did not immediately return the Cooler, since it's winter and I figured that it wouldn’t matter. I put some folded flannel blankets in the crate instead. She walked in, turned around a few times, and came out. She looked at me as if to say, "What have you done?" I had to laugh because it was so obvious that she wanted the Cooler back in there. She has been so comfortable on the mat for all this time, more than two years, that I decided to buy a Chillow for myself, and she may decide that's hers, too. "While we're "talking," I am reminded that I have been meaning to write your company about this bed for another reason.  I had tried them all:  from the generic local pet store "round," to the ridiculously expensive dog show pet couch.  My sheltie would walk over them (except for the noisy nest, which he absolutely hated) and exit, bed left. The canine cooler is the first and only bed that he adores. He has one in the kitchen and another upstairs in a bedroom.  At night, he regularly disappears and I find him upstairs on his canine cooler.  This dog has mild hip dysplasia and has always "run hot," often preferring to sleep on the cold stone tiles of our kitchen floor. Now, he is sleeping infinitely more comfortably on this bed.
